This season Face à Face explores the phenomenon of SYNAESTHESIA, the ability to mix several senses and literally taste a color or hear a color. “Great artists are endowed with synesthesia and have the ability to perceive subtle tones and delicate forms in a way that is surreal to others”, explains Pascal Jaulent, Head of Design at Face à Face. With this premise we discover one of the most outstanding models of this season, MEYER in its variant “cat eye”.
If the synaesthesia is sniffing with the eyes or tasting with the touch, MEYER smells of mint at first sight and is sweet to the touch, its inspiration is a tribute to the windows with steel frames designed by Hennes Meyer, one of the architects of the manifesto BAUHAUS.
The result of this inspiration is a sunglass with double-frame appearance thanks to the “edge” in mint color that “surrounds” the tortoiseshell acetate and which in turn crosses the frame in a horizontal direction through the two temples and the bridge. The “cat eye” shape and a medium size make this sunglasses perfect for the day a day.
This MEYER concept is available in another more rounded shape and in 10 surprising color combinations, always contrasting the two acetate blocks to create this magnificent double-frame effect. We hope you like it!!
